High-risk areas in the wood industry:
Protective concepts at the LIGNA 2009 trade show
The world fair for the forestry and wood industry ‘LIGNA’ is being held in Hanover from 18 to 22 May 2009. For the past 34 years the fair has been considered an international branch event – a meeting place for the woodworking and wood processing industry.
Minimax is naturally also there again:
Stand E41 in Hall 27.
With trend setting fire protection solutions for the high-risk areas of the wood processing industry we present our variety of products and innovative strength.
Safety through technology – that is our credo. Minimax looks back on years of experience in the wood industry and is familiar with all of the branch’s processes. Especially due to the many combustible materials there are many critical points – the high-risk areas – where custom-tailored fire protection concepts are necessary.
High-risk areas include presses, which Minimax protects from fire with Minifog PressProtect fine spray extinguishing systems. The spray design of the impulse nozzles guarantees effective press protection with minimal water use.
Minimax foam extinguishing systems effectively protect oil conveying press areas, such as the press cellar, oil lines as well as hydraulic and thermal oil pumping rooms.
Minimax spark extinguishing systems at pneumatic conveying and exhaust installations automatically recognise and extinguish sparks and pockets of embers before these sources of fire can reach high-risk system areas.
Minimax is the only fire protection company offering combined VdS and FM-certified fire detection and spark extinguishing: the FMZ 5000 Reflex.
Both the spark recognition and the activated extinguishing process are triggered with "lightning" speed – there are only two milliseconds between detection and triggering of the magnet valve.
The active exhaust system for silo monitoring recognises even the smallest smouldering fires, and the clearly laid out and user-friendly fire detection visualisation with WinGuard completes the Minimax fire detection and extinguishing system.
...and everything from one source.
We look forward to your visit to our booth at the trade show.
